Check Viral Fevers In Tribal Areas: Chandulal

Hyderabad, Aug.18 (Maxim News): Tribal and Tourism Minister A Chandulal today directed officials concerned to take immediate steps to prevent the spread of viral fevers and diseases in tribal districts and agency areas in the state. He conducted a review meeting at Secretariat here and sought to know about the present conditions in the wake of heavy rains in Adilabad and other districts. The officials were instructed to be alert to meet with any eventuality as the floods are marooning the downstream areas the minister said.

He also said that effective coordination with health department will help them take better steps against the spread of viral fevers in the tribal areas. Keep previous incidents in view and take remedial measures to check the possible spread of diseases and fevers. Chandulal asked the officials to keep adequate stocks of medicines and provide facilities at ITDA areas. Villages should be remained clean and green with timely sanitation drives by village panchayat staff so that the people will not fall prey to the viral fevers he said. Keep generic medicines in adequate stocks under GCC in sales depots of villages and press in special teams wherever necessary. He also sought for continuous health services depending on conditions in the villages and tribal hamlets. (Maxim News)
