Congress leaders pay tributes to former PM Rajiv Gandhi

Hundreds of Congress workers led by Haryana MP Deependra Hooda paid floral tributes to former Prime Minister Rajiv Gandhi to mark his 26th death anniversary at the Indian Youth Congress Office here.

On the occasion, Mr Hooda garlanded the statue of former PM Rajiv Gandhi and addressed the gathering in which he recalled the immense contribution of the late PM in making India of today.

Amidst slogans of “Rajiv amar hai” , Mr Hooda said , “No one can forget what Rajivji has given to the nation.

He is solely responsible for taking the country on the path of digital revolution and industrilisation.””After Indiraji’s assassination in 1984 , the country was in a mess and the young nation was looking upto this young man of 40 years to take the command of the nation in his hands and set things right.
