Hyderabad, Oct. 22 (Maxim News): The Employment through Skills Training & Placement (EST&P) Component under National Urban Livelihood Mission, a Govt. of India scheme is designed to fill the gap between the demand and availability of local skills by providing skill training programs towards increase o f the income of urban poor through certified courses which provides salaried employment or self-employment opportunities.
The GHMC has prepared an action plan to conduct placement linked training’s to the unemployed youth in coordination with the training partners selected by the TMEPMA, the State level Nodal Agency for Telangana State under NULM scheme.
The GHMC is facilitating the unemployed youth regarding the trainings through Public representatives / local newspapers, women SHGs / SLFs & TLFs/Community Development Staff etc.
The applications will be called for from the interested candidates in all the circle offices from October 23 to November 31, 2016 and even can apply through online as the model application has been put up in GHMC web portal, said Dr. B Janardhan Reddy, GHMC Commissioner.
The course duration is minimum 3 months (approximately 400 hours of the technical training plus 30 hours for soft skills training), he added.
Today, the GHMC commissioner has organised an orientation session with the training partners and shared some of the valuable experience that there is huge gap between the requirement and availability of qualified, processing soft skills, good attitude and communication skills even though the people are ready to pay the required wages in the fields of Health, Security, Banking Services, Retail Marketing and Industrial Assistance etc in the bigger cities like Hyderabad where ample of opportunities are available.
