Fuel gets costliest in Hyderabad

Hyderabad: The furore and protests over the steady rise in fuel prices have not impacted decision makers, with the price of petrol still on a fast ascent.

At this rate, a litre could cost Rs 100 in six to seven months, and Hyderabad could be among the cities where this could happen first.

From Rs 66.93 on July 1, a litre of petrol now costs Rs 74.88 in Hyderabad, while diesel, which came for Rs 58.09 on July 1, is now Rs 64.07, according to Telangana Petroleum Dealers Association. (The Indian Oil and Bharat Petroleum websites list them, as on October 2, as Rs 75.01/Rs 64.18 and Rs 75.03/Rs 64.21 respectively).
