Telangana CM K Chandrashekhar Rao asked officials to adhere to fixed timelines for completion of every component of Kaleshwaram Lift Irrigation Scheme (KLIS). He wanted them to take up construction and earthworks of the projects simultaneously in three shifts round-the-clock by deploying necessary manpower and machinery. He reiterated the commitment of the State government to complete the KLIS and supply water for cultivation of farm lands and assured all support in this regard.
KCR who is firm on completing the multi-crore Kaleshwaram project in time, has begun his whirlwind tour of the project site to take stock of work progress with his arrival at Tupakulagudem on Thursday. He was accompanied by a legion of Ministers and officials to the project site in two helicopters comprising Ministers Etela Rajender and T Harish Rao, Government Chief Whip Koppula Eeshwar, MPs B Vinod Kumar and Balka Suman along with Chief Secretary SP Singh, Special Chief Secretary SK Joshi, DGP Mahender Reddy, TSGenco Chairman and managing director Prabhakar Rao and other top officials of Irrigation and Power departments.
