Kejriwal Govt neglected urban poor says Congress

Delhi Congress President Ajay Maken today charged the Aam Aadmi Party Government with neglecting the urban poor and diverting funds meant for development for slums for its its own interest.

Addressing a press conference, he said,”Contrary to what it had promised in 2015 at the time of Assembly elections, the Kejriwal Government is now pursuing anti-poor policies.There is no allocation of funds for projects for the weaker section of the society.

As many as 59 cities were selected by the Government to be developed as ‘Smart Cities’ and Delhi being one of them. One-lakh-thirty-thousand-crore was the estimated cost for Delhi’s development but only 2.7 per cent of the Budget was utilised for the purpose.
