The Madras High Court today stayed the Look Out Circular (LOC) issued by the Union Home Ministry against Karti Chidambram, son of senior Congress leader and Former Union Finance Minister P Chidambaram.
When petition filed by Karti and four others challengingthe July 18 LOC issued in connection with a case pertainingto grant of FIPB clearances to INX Media, came up for hearing,Mr Justice M Duraiswamy stayed the LOC.
The Judge granted the interim stay till September four after hearing the arguments made by senior counsels Gopal Subramanian and Satish Parasaran on behalf of Karti and four others and Additional Solicitor General G Rajagopalan,and directed the union Home Ministry to file a counter affidavit by September four.
