Hyderabad : MBT protest over forced removal of Burqa from Muslim Girl Students at S V V School here on Saturday.

In his complaint to Inspector of Police, Saidabad Police Station, he said that parents of Muslim Girl Students had complained him that the management of Sri Vignana Vardhani High School are forcing the Muslim girl students to allegedly removed Burqa before entering the Examination centre for writing SSC Exams.

On receipt of the complaint he personally visited the centre and saw many Burqa were lying outside the gate and parents were seen complaining of harassment.

It is to mentioned here that the DEO Hyderabad (Rc. No: 01/G-II/DEO/Hyd Dated 1st Marc 2017) in Para-7 (v) that “If a Muslim girl candidate desires to take the Examination with her burkha on, she should be permitted to do so. Please take the help of women invigilators to check them at the entrance only, in order to establish the identity and to detect possession of forbidden material if any”.

In view of the said order asking or forcing any Muslim girl to remove Burqa is against the above said order, he said.

He requested the cops to take necessary action against the management of Sri Vignana Vardhani High School at Saidabad for hurting the religious sentiments of Muslims.
