Medical staff shortage problem to be solved soon says Laxma Reddy

Health Minister Dr C Laxma Reddy said that the shortage of doctors and medical staff in government hospitals would be solved within one or two months by taking up recruitment.

Speaking at a meeting after inaugurating 150-bed Mother and Child Health Centre and 150-bed extension block in district Government hospital, the Health Minister said that the State government has taken up process of recruitment of doctors and medical staff one year back, but technical problems linked with AP Reorganization have become hurdles.

Now, decks were cleared for recruitment of medical staff. Moreover, the Chief Minister has accepted to sanction 8,000 new posts in Telangana Vydhya Vidhana Parishad (TVVP). Recruitment of sanctioned new posts would be taken up after approved by the state cabinet, he maintained.
