Peddavagu bridge works to begin Today

Kumram Bheem Asifabad: The long-cherished bridge across Peddavagu near Penchikalpet mandal centre will be a reality soon with State government allocating Rs 30 crore for it construction. Minister for Endowments and Housing A Indrakaran Reddy will formally set foundation stone works on Monday. He will be accompanied by Energy Minister G Jagadish Reddy and local legislator Koneru Konappa.

It is to mention here that People residing in 10 mandals of Chennur, Bellampalli and Sirpur (T) Assembly constituencies have been facing untold hardships due to lack of the bridge over Peddavagu, a tributary of Pranahita. Some of these places even get isolated in monsoon. They rely on wooden boats for crossing the rivulet, risking lives.
