Ravula Accuses TRS Govt Of Suppressing Oppn Parties

Hyderabad, Aug.13 (Maxim News): Telangana TDP politburo member Ravula Chandrashekhar Reddy has alleged that the TRS government was trying to suppress the Opposition parties and the media in the State.

Talking to the media at NTR Trust Bhavan here today, Chandrashekhar Reddy said it was unfortunate that the BJP government at the Centre and the TRS government in the State were following undeclared emergency rules. The government was not giving permission for organizing dharnas and meetings to bring the burning problems of the people to the notice of the government, he charged.

Alleging that both the Centre and State governments were trying to suppress the media, Ravula alleged that even newspapers were being threatened not to publish news against the government. He also said the TRS government was functioning in a dictatorial manner and preventing news pertaining to the Opposition parties. Ravula asked Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Chief Minister KCR to give due respect to the Constitution. He also questioned the status of BJP Rajya Sabha member GVL Narasimha Rao for talking against the AP Chief Minister. (Maxim News)
