Robotics workshop conducted for Students of TMRI Schools

Hyderabad, Feb 5 (Maxim News): A three day Robotics workshop is being conducted for Students of TMRI Schools in Hyderabad by Center MJCET.

TMRIES has tied up with Robotics Center of Muffakham Jah College of Engineering and Technology (MJCET), Banjara Hills, Hyderabad to impart Robotics Education to 7th class students of eight TMR schools in Hyderabad District as pilot project and it is expected to be extended to all other schools in remaining districts of Telangana also.

B. Shafiullah Secretary said that TMREIS planning to establish a full fledge “Robotics center” as one of the best centers of the country where the students are doing innovative and challenging projects like Robominton, Parent and Child Robot, quadcopter, Ocean Roverbot, Spiderbod, cleanerbot etc and will participate in various state level and national level robotics competitions.

He also expressed that the potential of young Engineering college students will be great boost to our TMREIS and it will encourage and bring momentum in creativity and innovative thinking among students.

External Academia a group of engineering college students of MJCET will conduct classes for Telangana Minorities Residential school students. Mr. Mohammed Faisal, Third year ECE student of MJCET and team leader of External academia program of this project feels this will help the engineering students to interact closely with the school kids and will develop empathy in the students and make them more socially responsible citizens.

At the end of 3 full days of ROBOTICS Workshop, Each Student will learn to design and build a complete Manual Robot.

Certification:
A multiple choice question based test will be conducted and students securing above 50% will be presented with certificates. Further First, second and third prizes will also be given based on scores. These students will be selected to form the robotics team of that school (just like a cricket team). The team will participate in various state level and national level robotics competitions.

Achievement:
An annual robotics event called ROBOTHON will be conducted in summer holidays at MJCET and prizes will be given to winning teams. This will create a spirit of competition among the students. The best team will represent the state in national level competition called ROBOCON. (Maxim News)
