Assam Chief Minister Sarbananda Sonowal today congratulated eminent litterateur Harendra Nath Borthakur, poets Pratim Baruah and Bijit Gwra Ramchiari on being named for the prestigious Sahitya Akademi Annual Awards for 2017.
The chief minister spoke to the awardees over phone from New Delhi and extended his greetings, an official statement said here.Mr Sonowal said the winning of Sahitya Akademi awards was recognition towards contributions made by these writers in the literary field of the state.
The chief minister wished them continuing success in all their future literary endeavors.Mr Sonowal also extended his greetings to the family members of litterateur Renu Bodo, who was honoured with the Sahitya Akademi Award posthumously
