Telangana & AP agreed to share water in Srisailam, Nagarjunasagar

The Krishna River Management Board (KRMB) held a meeting on Saturday where they decided the water sharing ratio for Telangana and Andhra Pradesh in 66:34 ratio.

The five-hour marathon meeting in Hyderabad witnessed heated arguments between representatives of both states on issues such as diversion of Godavari water to Krishna basin by Andhra Pradesh along with the alleged tampering of telemetry equipment to indicate less withdrawals of water from Pothireddypadu head regulator by AP.

KRMB chairman SK Srivatsava intervened and assured quick action on the issue by examining available data, telemetry points, and their performance.
