Telangana to set up 8 cancer treatment centres

The State government is planning to set up eight cancer screening and treatment centres across the State. Technology, devices and other contributions for these centres are to be provided by Tata Trust whose representatives on Wednesday met the Health, Medical and Family Welfare Minister C Laxma Reddy.

MNJ Cancer Hospital will act as an apex centre for the eight centres which are to be set up at Adilabad RIMS, Warangal Kakatiya Medical College, Mahabubnagar Medical College, Nizamabad Medical College, Khammam, Karimnagar and Nalgonda.
