TPCC Chief Uttam Predicts early Elections in 2018 in State

Hyderabad: TPCC Chief N Uttam Kumar Reddy has predicted that early election may take place in the state in 2018 and made it clear that the Congress party was ready to face the pre-elections.

Speaking to the media at Gandhi Bhavan here on Tuesday, Uttam said that it was painful that the Irrigation Minister T Harish Rao didn’t know as to who will evaluate the GDP and explained that the centre will evaluate the GDP by considering the figures submitted by the state government.

He alleged that the state government was sending wrong figures to the centre and made it clear that he quoted the figures taken from the CIG website. The government was trying to deceive the people with magic of figures, he said and questioned the Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao to tell whether it was not a fact that the agriculture production was reduced only after the latter came to power. He asked the state government to tell whether the social economic survey figures were wrong. He alleged that the state government was telling falsehood in regard to ease of doing business and asked to tell whether it was a fact or not that the state was in sixth place in regard to investments.

He asked the Chief Minister whether any power project started production after he came to power. He alleged that the Chief Minister raised the curtains to the new cheating in the name of sops to the BCs only to come out from the assurances –three acre land for daliths and 12 percent reservations to Muslims and STs, thinking that it was not possible to implement them. The state government was enhancing the figures every year in the budget only to create a hype among the people.

Asking KCR to tell where the assurance of giving lands to journalists has gone, Uttam said that the Chief Minister forgot the assurances given to Warangal and Adilabad journalists. The government was least bothered about the health cards which were not working properly. He asked KCR to tell as to why he was not fulfilling the assurances given to lawyers. The Chief Minister made the state number one in liquor sales and in party defections. He made it clear that the opposition parties have the right to question the government on borrowing debts mortgaging the interests of state.

He stated that IT Minister KT Ramarao was a child and he has no status to criticize the AICC vice-president Rahul Gandhi. Rahul Gandhi’s family has the history of sacrifices, he said and alleged that KTR has the history of looting the state coming from America. He alleged that KTR was getting the awards by giving money and that doesn’t mean KTR’s words were true.
