TRS senior leader and Government Whip in Telangana Legislative Council P. Rajeshwar Reddy on Thursday accepted the challenge of Congress leader A. Revanth Reddy for an open debate on drugs mafia in Hyderabad.
Speaking to media persons at TRS Legislature Party office in Assembly premises, Rajeshwar Reddy claimed that the TRS Government has curbed the drugs mafia while putting an end to gambling and other illegal activities.
He alleged that the previous TDP and Congress regimes never took measures to curb drugs culture. However, Chief Minister K. Chandrashekhar Rao took measures to clean the society from such illegal activities. He said the Narcotics Department did place Hyderabad under Drugs’ Zone. He said he was ready for an open debate on the issue with Revanth Reddy or other leaders at any time.
