TRS Opposing SCS To AP For Political Gain: APCC

Hyderabad, July 27 (Maxim News): Andhra Pradesh Congress Committee (APCC) president N Raghuveera Reddy has alleged that the TRS party was opposing Special Category Status to Andhra Pradesh State only for the sake of political gain in Telangana State. He also alleged that Chief Minister K Chandrashekhar Rao hatched a plan to fix the Congress in Telangana to save the BJP. He also said the BJP was behind the TRS party’s strategy.

Speaking to the media at Indira Bhavan here on Friday, Raghuveera Reddy asked the TRS leaders whether they forgot the statements of KCR, Ministers KT Ramarao, T Harish Rao and MPs K Kavitha and K Keshavarao that they will extend support to Andhra Pradesh State.

Reacting to YSRCP chief YS Jagan Mohan Reddy’s criticism against Jana Sena chief Pawan Kalyan, Raghuveera opined that indulging in personal attack was a mistake on the part of anybody. He said the regional parties have no ideals and their goal was to gain votes by provoking the people, he explained.

APCC president pointed out to AICC chief Rahul Gandhi’s statement that there was no comparison with any State to Andhra Pradesh State on special status issue. “The Congress Working Committee’s decision on special category status to Andhra Pradesh State was final and supreme to us”, he said and extended thanks to Rahul Gandhi on behalf of the people of Andhra Pradesh. He said they will take the speech of Rahul Gandhi to the people for strengthening the party. (Maxim News)
