TRS spokesperson Karne Prabhakar stated that State government was conducting an in-depth study into recommendations made by BC elected representatives from various political parties for development of backward classes (BCs) especially those belonging to most backward classes (MBCs). He said even as the TRS government was taking proactive steps to resolve problems faced by BCs, the Congress and TDP were resorting to vote bank politics in the State.
Speaking to media-persons here, Prabhakar said Chief Minister K Chandrashekhar Rao took novel initiative and involved BC public representatives from all political parties to collectively find a solution for resolving problems faced by the backward classes. “But the Opposition parties like Congress and Telugu Desam Parties want to see red in every good intentions of the TRS government. They are interested in only vote banks but not overall development and welfare of BCs especially MBCs,” he said. He pointed out that the State government has established a MBC Finance Corporation within three-years after coming to power as against Congress and TDP which ruled the State for over six decades. He said the State government is taking steps to ensure direct benefit to about 113 BC castes in the State.
