Venkaiah Attends Mahila Dakshata Samithi Silver Jubilee

Education is meant to empower women, said Vice-President, Venkaiah Naidu. He was addressing at the Silver Jubilee celebrations of Mahila Dakshata Samithi, in Hyderabad.

He said that only educated and empowered women will be able to become Independent financially and in other ways. Referring to the ancient times in the country, he said that women then were highly educated and participated in intellectual discussions on various issues. There will be social reform only when women are educated, he said, adding that there is a lot of difference between women’s education and men’s education.
