An expert team comprising arepresentative from the World Bank, Central Water Commission andKarnataka State Planning Supervisory Committee visited the Krishna Raja Sagar (KRS) reservoir for inspection of the ongoing repair andrestoration works.
According to official from Cauvery Neeravari Nigam Limited, theteam, led by Edward Flint of the World Bank, inspected the firstphase of renovation taken up.
The team had discussion with Nigam officials yesterday on thesecond phase of works, which will began shortly. The team members obtained information on the condition of the sluice gates of the damand directed the officials to complete the remaining works before thein flow begins,
