Xiaomi founder-chairman and CEO Lei Jun today discussed the smartphone manufacturer’s growth plans and showed support for Mr. Modi’s “Make in India” initiative.
Sharing the mobile manufacturer’s journey so far in India, and how smartphones were changing the lives of Indian consumers with Mr Modi expressing support for Xiaomi’s approach.
The Chinese manufacturer has been an early supporter of Mr Modi’s “Make in India” initiative, and this month reaffirmed its commitment to India with the opening of a second manufacturing plant in Sri City, Andhra Pradesh and plans to create more than 20,000 jobs in the country in the next three years.
