Delhi/Hyderabad, Feb 17 (Maxim News): The Telangana government led by the Chief Minister K. Chandrasekhar Rao got a shock in the Supreme Court in the MLAs Poaching case of Moinabad Farmhouse. The Supreme Court did not respond to the KCR government’s plea to direct the CBI not to arrest anyone until the investigation is completed.
it may be recalled that the High Court of Telangana has directed the State government to hand over the case to CBI.
A bench comprising Justice BR Gavai and Justice Manoj Mishra adjourned the next hearing to March 27 stating that they cannot control the CBI. The Telangana High Court handed over the investigation into the case of baiting MLAs to the CBI. The Telangana state government challenged this verdict and approached the Supreme Court.
Dushyant Dave and Siddhartha Luthra, senior advocates of the state government, especially argued in the hearing held on February 7th and 8th that if the MLA’s case goes into the hands of the CBI and it will be of no use and the entire investigation will be sidetracked. he asked the court to immediately stay the order of the High Court. However, the CJI bench refused to grant a stay. (Maxim News)
