Sharmila Taken Into Custody By KCR Govt On The Occasion Of Women’s Day

Hyderabad, Mar 8 (Maxim News): Even on the occasion of the International Women’s Day, celebration, the state government headed by Chief Minister K.Chandrasekhar Rao’s police has arrested the YSRTP president Y.S Sharmila who went to pay homage to the idols of Rani Rudrama and Chakali Ailamma on the Tank Bund in Hyderabad.

Sharmila, who spoke to the media, alleged that KCR’s daughter MLC Kavitha (Bathukamma) was involved in the Delhi Liquor scam, she pointed out that Kavitha and the BRS leaders are talking about women reservations as they have a lot of love for women. She said except for Kavitha, no other women in the state are safe. Atrocities, attacks, and rape of women are happening in the state every day due to the free flow of liquor in the state on this she demanded the KCR to answer this.

Along with party workers, Sharmila sat in a silent protest near the Statue of Rani Rudrama Devi on Tank Bund to protest the alleged crimes against women in the state.

As no permission was obtained for the protest the police detained sharmila and other party workers and shifted them to different police stations, Sharmila was taken to Bollarum Police Station. (Maxim News)
