Land Regulation Under GO 58 and 59, Date Extended Again

Land Regulation | Hyderabad, March 18 (Maxim News): The state government headed by the Chief Minister K. Chandrasekhar Rao has given another opportunity to the poor who have been living on government lands for a long time in the cities to regularize those places.

It has been decided to receive applications once again to give them rights under G.O 58 and 59 for 30 days.

To this extent, the Revenue department has issued G.O 28 and 29, while 30 days are given for land regularization applications in towns, 3 months are given for applications in Singareni.

It is known that in the recent cabinet meeting held under the Chairmanship of Chief Minister K. Chandrasekhar Rao. It has been decided to extend the cut-off date to provide another opportunity to the urban poor under GO 58 and 59.

Although the guidelines were supposed to be released immediately, the MLC election code came to a halt.

Immediately after the election code is over, the government issued an order, those occupying lands of Singareni Calories Company Limited (SCCL) in the districts of Khammam, Bhadradri Kothagudem, Jayashankar Bhupalapalli, Kumram Bheem Asifabad, Adilabad, Manchirial, Peddapalli, Jagtyal can apply.

KCR took a decision to provide permanent rights to those who occupied government lands and set up residence within the city limits by the time the state was formed on June 2,2014. To this end GO 58 and 59 were released on December 30, 2014.

The applications received were examined and resolved. Realizing that some people could not apply due to various reasons, the government provided an opportunity to apply once again in February last year.

Land Regulation

Scrutiny of these applications is ongoing. In the Singareni area, it has given opportunity to apply once in 2014 and again in 2019 under G.O. 58 and 59.

The authorities have examined and resolved those applications. so far 1,45,668 people have got regularized under G.O. 58, About 42,000 people have inherited the rights to their houses under G.O. 59. Recently, the government has given an opportunity to the poor to apply once again.

The highlight of the regularization are :

  • Free regularization for the occupiers occupying plots upto 125 sq. yards.
  • Occupants of 126-250 square yards have to pay 50 per cent of the market price of the land as fee.
  • Those who have built houses in area between 251-500 square yards can regularize by paying 75 per cent of the market price.
  • For 500-1000 yards, 100 per cent of the government price should be paid.
  • 100 per cent of the cost for non-residential land (commercial)
  • Apply at Meeseva kendra.
  • Proof of residence at the place prior to the cutoff date should be submitted.

A committee consisting of RDO chairman and Tahsildar as members will scrutinize the applications and take the final decision. (Maxim News)
