Cyberabad CP holds Co-Ordination Meeting on Assembly Elections

In preparation for the forthcoming assembly elections, a crucial co-ordination meeting was conducted today ie., on 14.09.2023 at the Cyberabad police commissionerate’s main conference hall with Revenue and Police department along with Collectors Ranga Reddy District, Medchal Malkajgiri districts and CP Rachakonda .

The meeting presided over by Stephen Raveendra, IPS., Commissioner of Police, Cyberabad emphasised the necessity of being fully prepared to conduct the assembly elections efficiently and transparently.

The Election Commission of India’s instructions mandated the execution of exercises by the police and civil administration to ensure the smooth functioning of the electoral process. DS Chauhan, IPS., Commissioner of Police, Rachakonda, Avinash Mohanthi, IPS., Additional CP, Cyberabad, Medchal District Collector D. Amoy Kumar, IAS., Rangareddy District Collector S. Harish, IAS., and other district revenue and police officials were also present.

Cyberabad CP Stephen Raveendra, IPS., stressed the significance of collaborative efforts among all departments to identify potential problem areas and address them promptly.

Rachakonda CP DS Chauhan, IPS., emphasised the importance of all officers having a profound understanding of the conduct rules and duties pertaining to elections.

During the meeting two District collectors and CPs discussed and instructed about the measues to be followed for the coming Assembly elections for Telangana State.

There was discussion regarding the facilities and availabilities of Polling Stations and Polling Locations. Also about the Electronic Voting Machine Storage rooms, distribution & reception centers and also counting centers concerned to the Assembly segments coming under the above Rangareddy and Medchal Malkajgiri districts in the jurisdiction of Cyberabad. The police and revenue personnel were thoroughly briefed on how to maintain a peaceful atmosphere during the assembly elections. A presentation on Polling Stations and Polling Locations was delivered.

Medchal district collector D Amoy Kumar expressed commitment to abide by the guidelines set by the Election Commission of India to ensure a fair and unbiased electoral process.

Rangareddy district collector S Harish, echoed the sentiments of cooperation, stressing the need to conduct the assembly elections with integrity and tranquillity. He issued a stern warning that strict action would be taken against any negligence shown in the performance of election duties.

The participants in the meeting were DCP Shamshabad K. Narayana Reddy, IPS., DCP Rajendranagar, DCP Balanagar Srinivas Rao, IPS., J Jagadeeshwar Reddy, DCP Madhapur G.Sundeep, DCP S.B, Cyberabad Ashok Kumar, DCP LB Nagar B. Sai The Addl.DCPs, the Police Nodal Officers / ACPs and Returning Officers of concerned Assembly Constituencies and ACPs, SB and Election Cell staff of both Commissionerates have attended the meeting.
