PM Modi Lashes Out At Nitish Kumar Over His Comments

Bhopal/Hyderabad, Nov 8 (Maxim News): Prime Minister Narendra Modi today hit out at Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar’s controversial comments on population control. He questioned, why the opposition is silent on such vulgar comments against women.

As part of the election campaign in the Guna constituency of Madhya Pradesh, PM Modi said Nitish’s comments were a disgrace to the country.

The main leader of the I.N.D.I.A Alliance used vulgar language against women in the Bihar assembly.  No leader of the INDI Alliance spoke a word against it.  they don’t find it insulting at all.  What good can people who think like this about women do to you? People who have such bad attitude towards our mother and sisters, they are insulting the country, said Prime Minister Modi.

Nitish Kumar’s comments on population control, saying that if women are educated, the population will be reduced by keeping the husbands under control, caused a stir.  Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar commented that if women are educated, they will keep their husbands under control at the time of marriage, and thus the population will decrease.  Nitish said in the Assembly that the birth rate which was once 4.3 has come down to 2.9 and will soon reach 2 because women are getting educated.

Celebrities including Bihar Deputy Chief Minister Tejashwi Yadav smiled at these comments

BJP women MLAs expressed concern in the Assembly that the CM’s comments were insulting.  Women’s organizations across the country have demanded an immediate apology from Nitish, saying his comments were insulting. (Maxim News)
