Shift People To The Safer Places If Necessary: CS

Hyderabad, Dec 5 (Maxim News): In the wake of the warnings from the Meteorological Department (IMD) that heavy to very heavy rains are likely to occur in Telangana for the next two days under the influence of Cyclone Michaung.

Due to heavy rains in many districts of the state, Chief Secretary (CS) Santhi Kumari conducted a review with the District collectors. Collectors have been instructed to be alert as there is a possibility of heavy rains in different parts of the state for two days.

Precautionary measures should be taken as there is a possibility of heavy rains and floods. NDRF teams should be sent to Bhadradri Kothagudem and Mulugu districts. Precautionary measures should be taken to prevent waterlogging of already fully filled ponds. Irrigation Department, Disaster management Department, Roads and Buildings, Panchayat Raj and Revenue Departments should be vigilant.
