Big Fish In ACB Net: Karimnagar Tahsildar House Raided

Karimnagar, March 13: In a major development today, the Telangana Anti-Corruption Bureau (ACB) has launched an investigation into alleged corruption involving a Karimnagar district Tahsildar.

The ACB reportedly unearthed assets valued at Rs. 3.2 crore during searches conducted at the residence of M. Rajani, Tahsildar, and Joint Sub Registrar of Jammikunta Mandal.

Ms. Rajani is suspected of amassing wealth through corrupt means during her tenure. An official ACB release confirmed the registration of a case under the Prevention of Corruption Act against Ms. Rajani.

Searches at her residence and other locations linked to her associates and relatives yielded property documents for plots and agricultural land, exceeding their official value according to the ACB.

The searches also led to the recovery of significant cash, bank deposits, gold ornaments, household items, and vehicles.

The total value of these assets is estimated at Rs. 3.2 crore, with further investigations underway to identify additional undisclosed assets. The ACB continues its probe, and further details from the authorities are awaited.
