Kavitha’s lawyers argued that as a woman, Kavitha deserves bail and that there was no evidence against Kavitha from arrest to trial. As a star campaigner of the BRS party, Kavitha asked to give bail for the election campaign.

Kavitha’s lawyers appealed to the court that there was no need for arrest in cases punishable by less than seven years. That there were no valid reasons for Kavitha’s arrest, and that as a woman, Kavitha’s health reasons should be considered and she should be granted bail.

CBI lawyers argued that Kavitha was a key person in the liquor case. The CBI lawyers told the court that Kavitha knows many things related to this case and she is not telling the truth even if she is questioned on the statements and evidence given by others. The CBI argued that Kavitha, who has high political power, should not be granted bail as the evidence could influence the investigation of the case. (Maxim News)
