The Minister said that green buildings in the construction sector are very useful for environmental protection. Construction companies should educate buyers about green buildings. He said that in 2003, the construction of green concepts started in the United Andhra Pradesh. He said that the construction of green buildings has been going on gradually for 20 years. He said that the then-Manmohan Singh government brought strict laws on the use of plastic. He recalled that when he was the Minister of Civil Supplies, he conducted surprise inspections to reduce the use of plastic. Sridhar Babu said that everyone should work to reduce carbon emissions.
