Mining Scam: Pay Rs. 341 Crores: Notices To BRS MLA, Mahipal Reddy Brothers

Hyderabad, June 20 (Maxim News): Enforcement Directorate (ED) officials have been conducting searches in the houses of BRS leader and Patancheru MLA Goodem Mahipal Reddy and his brothers from the early hours of June 20, 2024.  Along with Mahipal Reddy’s family members, the houses of his relatives are also being inspected, raids are going on in all three places.

Along with the house of Goodem Mahipal Reddy brothers, the ED also conducted searches of the Santosh Granite and Quarries industry in Lakdaram.  The ED raid revealed that Goodem Madhusudan Reddy, who is the owner of Santosh Granite Industry, has evaded a huge amount of sewerage to the mine’s departments.  It was revealed that 72.87 lakh metric tonnes of metal was mined and only 8.48 lakh metric tonnes were paid as senage.

Previously Madhusudan Reddy was given notices for the payment of senage and penalty of Rs. 3.41 crores by the mining authorities.  Earlier, Madhusudan Reddy went to jail in the same case.  ED officials have found that some are doing mining business under Benjamin’s name.  (Maxim News)
