Adulterated Ginger Garlic Paste Seized In Hyderabad
Hyderabad, Oct 25 (Maxim News): Adulterated ginger and garlic paste found in huge quantities in Hyderabad. A team of Commissioner’s Task Force South West Zone raided a godown manufacturing adulterated ginger garlic paste in Defence Colony under Langer House Police Station, The accused Imran Salim has been identified by the police as a forgery. 835 kg of adulterated ginger and garlic paste was seized.

Police seized citric acid, an iron press machine, an air gun machine, a grinder machine, and goods worth Rs. 4,45,385 from Salim. The police found that the accused was supplying expired and unlabeled adulterated ginger garlic paste under the brand name Hina to grocery stores, restaurants, and hotels, in violation of Food Safety and Standards Authority of India (FSSaI) guidelines. It is noteworthy that adulterated ginger and garlic paste has come to light in Hyderabad city for the second time this month.
SWOT Police recently seized 12 quintals of adulterated ginger garlic paste in Ramanthapur under the Uppal police station. Mohammed Aftab of Agapura, Nampally, has been making adulterated ginger garlic paste under the name ‘new National’ for ten years in Plot No. 5, Balakrishna Nagar, KCR Nagar, Ramantapur. He is selling it by mixing rotten potato tubers, banana tree stems, titanium chemicals,
and citric acid (Monohydrate) into a paste.

The SWOT police have already detained him three times. After giving normal counseling and sending him, he comes out and does the same thing again. Now that he was caught for the fourth time, Malkajgiri Police arrested him. The locals are demanding that a rowdy sheet should be opened against the accused who is playing with people’s lives and a PD Act should be put in place. (Maxim News)
