Group 1 Candidates Appeal Rahul Gandhi To Visit Ashok Nagar

Hyderabad, Nov 4 (Maxim News): The youth of Telangana vividly remember your visit to Ashok Nagar before the 2023 elections, where you sat with them, promising a future rooted in justice, empathy, and ample employment opportunities through a clearly defined Job Calendar.

Moved by your assurances at Ashok Nagar and the Youth Declaration, they returned to their villages with faith, campaigned tirelessly against the BRS, and innocently placed their trust in a Congress-led government.

Today, however, they are deeply disillusioned and feel betrayed, watching as Chief Minister Revanth Reddy imposes a regime marked by constitutional violations, irrational authoritarianism, and brutal police suppression, showing no accountability for the promises made during elections.

Under Revanth Reddy’s rule, genuine grievances have been met with police lathis, callousness, and inhumane disregard, leaving the youth in the lurch with nowhere to turn. The Group 1 exam, a long-awaited opportunity, has turned into an unimaginable nightmare of irregularities,

Compounded by issues surrounding GO 29, an illegal notification, and faculty evaluations.
The harsh reality is that lakhs of Group 1 aspirants are in deep distress, now struggling to obtain justice, forced to fight in the High Court and Supreme Court. I believe you would empathize, Rahul Ji, with the financial and emotional toll of seeking justice in the courts. Why should these young people and their families have to endure such pain and hardship? Why can’t Revanth Reddy’s government respond with empathy and accountability to address these genuine concerns?

The victims of GO 46 also face Revanth Reddy’s betrayal and are subjected to a dire plight. Before the elections, Revanth Reddy and many leaders, now serving as ministers, personally promised to abolish GO 46 and re-conduct the State Special Police Exam immediately upon coming to power. But neglect and betrayal have become the new norm, and now more than a lakh young people are suffering, forced to pursue justice through the High Court and Supreme Court due to the illegalities of GO 46, while the majority of them are downtrodden and marginalized sections.

These young people, who wholeheartedly supported the Congress Party in 2023, now find themselves helpless and regretful, caught in a governance style that resembles monarchy more than democracy. They are compelled to run from pillar to post, with no choice but to seek justice through the courts.

Peaceful protests have been met with an iron fist, as police crackdowns intimidate and silence young men and women who are merely fighting for their legitimate rights. The values of democracy are being trampled, and Telangana’s youth feel voiceless under this unyielding force. These potential Class I officers have been subjected to lathi charges, gross humiliation, insults, and false cases filed against many aspirants.

To democratically question in Telangana has become a crime. While you are promoting the message of “opening a shop of love in the market of hatred (Nafrat Ke Bazar Me Mohabbat ka Duran Kholunga)“ across the nation, Revanth Reddy in Telangana is fostering hatred and violence against those who question and demand justice. Many youths active on social media are being subjected to illegal police harassment, false cases, and intimidation, suppressing their constitutional right to freedom of expression. Today, as I make this appeal to you, Village Sarpanches all over Telangana are being detained and imprisoned.

Revanth Reddy has learned the deceitful art of taking credit for notifications issued under the previous administration of the BRS, misleading the youth with claims of job creation.
Economic Decline, Misguided Priorities, and Unfulfilled Promises.

Meanwhile, Telangana faces economic regression due to misguided priorities and empty campaigns, leaving the state in a revenue deficit and financial crisis that demands strict measures and decisive, goal-oriented action rather than hollow slogans and grandiose fantasy projects like the Fourth City, malls, and complexes along the Musi River.

The present government in the last 11 months has not built a single house for the below-poverty-line population, with majority poll promises and declarations unfulfilled, and the state reportedly bankrupt and deficit in terms of revenues, with no new investments coming into the state.

The recent overnight decision to appoint a dedicated commission to undertake a caste census highlights that Revanth Reddy neither possesses the vision nor the wisdom to proactively implement public policy. He only acts when directed or reprimanded by the courts. He must answer for why he neglected this simple responsibility for months, despite clear High Court orders and the law established by Supreme Court rulings.

In the name of the HYDRAA and Musi Projects, reportedly worth Rs 1,50,000 crore, Revanth Reddy’s government has transformed into a destructive force, demolishing homes, dismantling livelihoods, and displacing residents in a ruthless “Bulldozer Raj” without implementing the 2013 Land Acquisition, Fair Compensation, and Resettlement and Rehabilitation Act. Lack of Social Justice in Government Appointments.

Additionally, though out of context, I wish to submit that there has been no representation of social justice in any of his appointments in the government, depriving many leaders of marginalized sections of opportunities.

Listen to the Voices of Telangana’s Disillusioned Youth at Ashok Nagar,  these young people trusted your promises, and they need your support now. I urge you to visit Ashok Nagar or Chikkadpally Library to meet the youth who feel betrayed, listen to their stories, and convey to  Revanth Reddy that the Indian National Congress stands for democracy, not dictatorship, and for service, not suppression. He must be sternly guided to provide good governance rooted in constitutional values, compassion, and integrity, rather than a repressive regime enforced by police action and false cases.

I implore you, Rahul Ji, to either mend or end this feudal, corrupt, and dictatorial governance of  Revanth Reddy in the interest of democracy, constitutional values, and the future of the Indian National Congress in Telangana.

We eagerly look forward to seeing you in Ashok Nagar and witnessing strong, affirmative action and Wishing you a successful visit. (Maxim News)
