Ayurveda, Siddha Medicines Seized For Misleading Claims

Hyderabad, Nov 13 (Maxim News): A total of three Ayurvedic formulations and one Siddha medicines, which were being sold by making misleading advertisements, were seized by the Telangana State Drug Control Administration (TSDCA) in a series of raids conducted across Telangana State on Tuesday and Wednesday.

The DCA officials stocks of NORMACT Tablets (Ayurvedic) being sold with misleading claims of treating high blood pressure and manufactured by Kerala Ayurveda, Aluva, Kerala, which were being sold at Nizamabad.

The DCA conducted raids in medical shops at Uppal and seized stocks of DAVA-TONE Syrup (Ayurveda) with a misleading claim of treating kidney stones, which was being manufactured by Bhavani Pharmaceuticals, Kalol, Gujarat.

In another raid at medical shops in Kukatpally, the DCA officials seized stocks of URICAL Syrup (Ayurvedic), manufactured by Ankh Pharmaceuticals, IDA, Kukatpally, for making misleading claims of treating Kidney and Bladder stones. 

In yet another separate raid at Jadcherla, Mahabubnagar district, the DCA officials seized D-CO-D Tablets (Siddha medicine), manufactured by Dr. JRK’s Research and Pharmaceuticals, Chennai, for making misleading claims of treating diabetes. (Maxim News)
