Telangana High Court Rejects Group-1 Candidates’ Plea to Halt Results Over Reservation Issues

Hyderabad, Dec 26 (Maxim News)Telangana High Court has given a shock to Group-1 candidates. The High Court bench has dismissed the petition of Group-1 candidates.

Group-1 candidates approached the High Court on various issues including reservations. Their petition came up for hearing in the High Court today. The Group-1 exams have already been completed. With this, the High Court has dismissed the petition filed to stop the Group-1 results until the reservations are clear.

Meanwhile, it is known that Group-1 candidates have approached the High Court, expressing objections to G.O No. 29 and several reservations. The candidates have asked the government to postpone the exams until their petitions are heard in the High Court. Chief Minister Revanth Reddy has made it clear that there is no question of postponing the exams. With this, the candidates filed a petition in the Supreme Court at the last minute. The Supreme Court has also ruled that the exams cannot be postponed at the last minute. It has been suggested that the High Court should decide on this. After that, the Revanth government conducted the Group-1 exams as usual. The petition filed by the Group-1 candidates in the High Court came up for hearing today. The High Court has decided to dismiss the petition of the candidates to stop the exam results. With the High Court’s verdict, the obstacle to the Group-1 results has been removed.

Earlier, the candidates had filed a petition in the High Court Single Bench seeking cancellation of the Group-1 Mains examinations. The Single Bench dismissed the petition. Within two days, the candidates had filed a petition in the Division bench challenging the Single Bench’s verdict. The Division bench also dismissed the petition filed by the candidates seeking postponement of the Group-1 examinations.  The Division bench agreed with the verdict given by the Single Bench.  With this, the obstacles to the Group-1 examinations were removed and the Telangana government conducted the examinations. The examinations were held peacefully from October 21 to 27 this year.  When the candidates once again approached the High Court seeking to stop the results of the Group-1 examinations until the reservations were clear, they were disappointed there too. The High Court dismissed this petition filed by the candidates today.  (Maxim News)
