Tension In Hanamkonda: Candidates Campaigning Against Each Other Near The Polling Centre
Hanamkonda/Hyderabad, Feb 27 (Maxim News): Tension has arisen in the ongoing MLC elections in Hanamkonda. The candidates campaigned competitively against the rules near the Kakatiya Degree College polling center in Hanamkonda, which led to tension.
The police, who entered the field, forcibly removed the supporters of the candidates. Barring sporadic incidents in several places, the graduate and teacher quota MLC elections are being held peacefully in the respective districts.
Elections are being held for two teachers and one graduate post. Along with the Medak-Nizamabad-Karimnagar-Adilabad graduate and teacher MLC elections, elections are being held for the Warangal-Khammam-Nalgonda teacher MLC posts. The polling, which began at 8 am, will continue till 4 pm. To vote in this election, one will have to show one of the 12 types of identity cards allowed by the Central Election Commission along with the voter slip.
A total of 680 polling stations have been set up in 15 districts under the four joint districts for the Medak-Nizamabad-karimnagar-Adilabad Graduate and Teacher MLC elections. Out of these, 406 are graduate polling stations, 181 are teachers polling stations and 93 are common polling stations for teachers and graduates voters.
Election material and ballot boxes were distributed to 15 districts at the Dr. BR Ambedkar Stadium in Karimnagar on Wednesday. After the polling ends, the ballot boxes from all the districts will be moved to the reception center at the Ambedkar Stadium in Karimnagar amid tight security. (Maxim News)
