Hyderabad Woman’s Marriage Canceled After Ex-Boyfriend Leaks Private Photos

Hyderabad: A young software professional from Hyderabad has filed a police complaint after her marriage was called off because her ex-boyfriend leaked private photos to her prospective in-laws.

The Medipally police have registered a case and are investigating the matter.

Harassment Started After Their Breakup

The 25-year-old woman met the accused in 2019 and was in a relationship for some time. During their time together, he tricked her into sharing an OTP, claiming his phone wasn’t working properly.

Once he gained access to her contacts, he started harassing her whenever she didn’t respond to his calls or messages. He even called her friends and family, using abusive language and threatening to leak private photos if she ignored him.

Private Photos Shared, Marriage Canceled

The situation worsened when the woman’s wedding was finalized. The accused allegedly sent her private photos to her future in-laws, leading to the cancellation of the marriage.

Shocked and distressed, the woman approached the Medipally police, who registered a case under cybercrime and harassment laws. The investigation is ongoing.

Police have urged people to report such cases immediately and to be cautious about sharing personal information online.
