Earthquake Of 2.8 Magnitude Hits Delhi, No Damage Reported
Delhi/Hyderabad, April 19 (Maxim News): There is no need to mention the extent of the damage caused by the earthquake in Myanmar and Thailand. Before this tragic incident can be forgotten, another major earthquake struck Afghanistan.
The earthquake occurred at 12.17 pm on Saturday. Its intensity was recorded as 5.8 on the Richter scale, according to the National Center for Seismology.
People were terrified by the earthquake. Everyone ran to save their lives. However, details regarding the loss of life and property are yet to be known.
Officials say that an earthquake has occurred at a depth of 130 kilometers on the Afghanistan-Tajikistan border. This is the second time in three days that the earth has trembled at this level. Since it is a border area, the earthquake also affected Pakistan. It is also known that mild earthquakes have occurred in Jammu and kashmir, Delhi and other parts of India.
Officials of the National Center for Seismology said that this happened due to major movements in tectonic plates at a depth of 130 kilometers from the surface.
The epicenter of the earthquake was identified as Magh NJuwul in Badakhshan province, northeast of the capital Kabul. Meanwhile, photos and videos related to the earthquake are going viral on social media. (Maxim News)
