Kaleshwaram EE Sridhar Remanded For 14 Days By ACB Court In The Case Amassing Assets Beyond His Means

Hyderabad, June 12 (Maxim News): Kaleshwaram Executive Engineer Nune Sridhar of the Irrigation Department has been remanded.  ACB officials, who conducted searches in a total of 13 places, have been remanded for 14 days by the ACB court in the case of amassing assets beyond his means. He was sent to Chanchalguda jail in the early hours of Thursday. Meanwhile, ACB officials will seek his custody to open his bank lockers.  The ACB has already been identified. He has amassed illegal assets worth hundreds of crores.

Meanwhile, the corruption whale of the irrigation department has been caught in the net of the ACB. The ACB officials have arrested Nune Sridhar, who is working as an Executive Engineer (EE) in the Choppadandi division, in a case of assets beyond his income.  It is reported that the value of his disproportionate assets in the open market is over Rs. 100 crore.  Along with Sridhar, simultaneous inspections were initiated at 13 places in Hyderabad, Karimnagar and bengaluru on Wednesday morning.  Sridhar was arrested in Karimnagar and shifted to Hyderabad. 

ACB officials conducted searches at four places in Bengaluru and six places in Hyderabad.  Inspections were also conducted at the Kaleshwaram Project office in Karimnagar. A huge amount of assets was identified in connection with Sridhar’s disproportionate assets. ACB officials stepped in after allegations surfaced that Sridhar was in charge of the crucial Gayatri Pump House in the Kaleshwaram project and that he took commissions in the purchase of bahubali motors installed there.  It is understood that Sridhar was also in-charge of the huge pump house built in Ramadugu mandal of Choppadandi constituency.  (Maxim News)
