Pashamylaram Fire Accident | Hyderabad / Sangareddy, June 30: A devastating explosion rocked the Sigachi Industries Pvt Ltd chemical factory located in the Pashamylaram Industrial Estate on Monday, resulting in the deaths of six workers and leaving more than 20 others seriously injured.

According to initial reports, a reactor blast triggered a massive fire inside the facility. The impact of the explosion was so intense that workers were reportedly thrown up to 100 meters away. Five workers died on the spot, while one succumbed to injuries during treatment at a nearby hospital.

The production department building collapsed due to the blast, and an adjacent structure also suffered significant damage.

Several workers are feared trapped inside the rubble, and their families are desperately trying to reach them, with many mobile phones unreachable since the incident.

Emergency response teams rushed to the scene, with 11 fire engines deployed to control the flames. Firefighting operations are ongoing, and rescue personnel are working tirelessly to retrieve those still trapped inside.

The injured were immediately shifted to private hospitals in Chandanagar and Isnapur. Many of them remain in critical condition, raising fears of a potential rise in the death toll.

Sangareddy District Collector P. Praveenya and Superintendent of Police Paritosh Pankaj visited the site and issued directives to officials overseeing the rescue efforts. The explosion also released a strong chemical odor, causing distress to residents in the nearby areas.

Authorities are yet to confirm the exact cause of the reactor explosion, and an investigation is expected to be launched soon.
