Hyderabad, July 31 (Maxim News): The University of Hyderabad (UoH) has achieved an all-time high in campus placements for the academic year 2024–25, with 550 students landing jobs across 180 leading organizations, marking a milestone in the university’s placement history.
The highest annual salary package offered this year reached an impressive ₹46 lakh, more than doubling the previous year’s top offer of ₹17.89 lakh. This remarkable offer was secured by a student from the MTech in Information Technology program under the School of Computer and Information Sciences.
Unprecedented Growth in Placement Performance
This year’s placement season witnessed a significant jump not only in the number of students placed but also in package values, highlighting UoH’s growing reputation among recruiters and the enhanced skillsets of its students. The university has attributed this success to strong industry collaborations, skill-oriented training programs, and a robust placement support system.
“This is a proud moment for the University. It reflects the academic excellence, skill development, and industry readiness of our students,” said a senior placement official at UoH.
Diverse Recruiter Participation
Over 180 top companies participated in the placement drive, including reputed names from sectors such as IT, consulting, finance, e-commerce, biotech, and research. The university’s focus on interdisciplinary learning and innovation appears to have played a major role in attracting a wide range of recruiters.
Students from various schools and departments—especially those in science, technology, and social sciences—benefited from a diverse spectrum of job opportunities.

The University of Hyderabad has been consistently enhancing its career readiness initiatives, including:
- Regular skill development workshops

- Strong alumni engagement to mentor current students
These initiatives have helped students gain a competitive edge in national and international job markets.
