Two Corrupt Officials Caught By ACB For Demanding Bribe For Land Registration
Ranga Reddy/Hyderabad, Aug 19 (Maxim News): Despite the ACB raids and arresting many corrupt officials red-handed, corruption in the state is not being stopped. Bribery continues to be rampant everywhere. Recently, two corrupt officials were caught by the ACB in Aamanagal mandal of Rangareddy district.
The victim approached the ACB after Amangal Mandal Revenue Officer Chintakindi Lalitha and Mandal Surveyor Kota Ravi demanded a bribe. The complainant stated in his complaint that the Tahsildar and the Surveyor demanded Rs. 50 thousand each to register the land in his grandmother’s name and make some corrections in the records.
With that, the officers of the Hyderabad City Range Second Unit stepped in. The surveyor was caught red-handed while taking Rs. 50 thousand from the complainant. It was found that Tahsildar Lalita had already taken a bribe of Rs. 50 thousand to start the registration process. Both the accused were arrested by the ACB officers.
To this end, a statement was issued by the Telangana Anti-Corruption Department Public Relations Officer. The statement stated that if any government official demands a bribe, people can complain by phone at 1064. Similarly, they can also complain through WhatsApp, Facebook, and Twitter.(Maxim News)
