Speaker to Issue Notices to 10 MLAs in Defection Case
Hyderabad: The Telangana Assembly Speaker has decided to issue notices to ten MLAs in connection with the ongoing party defections case, following the Supreme Court’s recent directive.
The decision comes after consultations with the Advocate General and senior legal experts.
On July 25, the Supreme Court ordered the Speaker to conclude the disqualification proceedings within three months in the petitions filed against ten Bharat Rashtra Samithi (BRS) formerly known as Telangana Rashtra Samithi (TRS) legislators who joined the Congress.
