Why Is Raja Singh Targeting Kishan Reddy?
Hyderabad, Sept 12 (Maxim News): The Telangana BJP, known for its principles, ideology, and discipline, is witnessing unusual turbulence. The ongoing feud between Goshamahal MLA Raja Singh and Union Minister Kishan Reddy has sparked intense discussion within party circles.
Raja Singh, who once called Kishan Reddy a “makeup man” and “old ironware,” has not softened his stance. He alleged that posts in the party are going to those who merely “wipe tables” and accused certain leaders of corruption and collusion. He went further, stating that Kishan Reddy was behind his troubles in the party and is responsible for his political crisis.
The Goshamahal MLA has now challenged Kishan Reddy directly, stating that if Kishan resigns, he too will step down and contest as an independent. “Only then will the real strength of each be known,” he declared.
Meanwhile, party leaders are increasingly frustrated. Demands are growing for Raja Singh to resign as MLA. They argue that a leader elected on the party symbol cannot now act independently. Several leaders are also warning of complaints being taken to the Speaker if the row continues.
BJP Telangana chief Ramchandra Rao responded cautiously, saying the high command will examine Raja Singh’s resignation issue and stressing that the people, not individual leaders, will decide the future of the party.
At the same time, the BJP’s new state committee is facing criticism. Many leaders, including MPs, MLAs, and former office bearers, are questioning why their inputs were ignored. There is discontent that the committee is dominated by Hyderabad-based leaders while grassroots workers in rural districts were sidelined.
Political observers say that instead of uniting ahead of local body elections, internal feuds and ego clashes are weakening the party. Leaders openly fear that the BJP’s image in Telangana is being damaged by personal attacks and factionalism.
The big question remains: Will the saffron party be able to put an end to the Raja Singh–Kishan Reddy row, or will the internal infighting continue to derail its ambitions in Telangana? (Maxim News)
