Peace talks between Pakistan and Afghanistan were held in Doha, the capital of Qatar.  Qatar and Turkey mediated these talks.  The defense ministers of both countries came to Qatar to participate in the talks. On this occasion, crucial discussions were held regarding the ceasefire.  In these talks, which were held in two rounds, the two countries agreed to an immediate ceasefire for permanent peace and stability.  With this, the peace talks were fruitful.  Qatar revealed that they also agreed to hold more talks in the coming days on maintaining the stability of this agreement.  The Qatari Ministry of Foreign Affairs itself revealed the details in a statement to this effect.

It is known that Pakistan carried out airstrikes on Paktika province in Afghanistan on Friday midnight.  At least 10 people, including young cricketers, women and children, were killed in the attacks by Pakistan.  In this sequence, both sides seem to have argued that they are only responding to aggression coming from the neighboring country.  On the other hand, Pakistan has stated that it is only focused on ending cross-border terrorism coming from Afghanistan and restoring peace and stability along the borders.  Afghanistan has denied the allegations that it is providing shelter to terrorists who carry out attacks across the borders.(Maxim News)
