- BRS will fight on, vows KTR; party promises continued opposition role
Hyderabad, Nov 14 (Maxim News): Bharat Rashtra Samithi (BRS) Working President K.Taraka Rama Rao has commented on the outcome of the Jubilee Hills constituency by-election. He stated that the result will not be ignored and emphasized that the contest has provided fresh strength to the party.
Addressing the media at Telangana Bhavan on Friday, KTR extended his gratitude to the voters who supported BRS. He said, “All the surveys said that BRS would win. Everyone knows what happened in the last three days. The bypoll gave us new strength. The alternative in the state is BRS. The Jubilee Hills elections were not held transparently. People know how these elections were held, Kaganti Sunitha fought till the end.”
KTR asserted that the BRS did not engage in caste or religious politics during the campaign. He added, “Azharuddin got the ministerial post only due to BRS pressure, Jubilee Hills developed in all ways during BRS rule. Wins and losses are natural in politics. We are not disappointed with the Jubilee Hills results. Struggles are not new to BRS. We will continue to do our job as the opposition in the coming days. We will fight until KCR becomes the CM again.”
The party leadership maintains that Jubilee Hills saw holistic development under BRS governance. KTR also highlighted that the recent electoral outcome would not dampen the party’s resolve. He noted the unwavering determination of Kaganti Sunitha, who fought till the last round of the contest, and reaffirmed BRS’s commitment to representing people’s issues in the Assembly.
BRS plans to intensify its presence as the key opposition force and will work consistently to challenge the ruling dispensation. The by-election, according to party leaders, is yet another chapter in BRS’s pursuit to regain the Chief Minister’s post and continue its political legacy in Telangana.
