The large scale settlement highlighted the role of the National Lok Adalat in reducing the burden on courts and providing quicker relief to litigants.
During the National Lok Adalat, authorities focused on clearing a wide range of pending matters. Officials confirmed that 14,108 FIRs were settled through the process. Along with this, 215 disaster management cases also reached closure. The event also addressed a significant number of minor offences and regulatory cases, helping parties resolve disputes without prolonged legal proceedings.
Meanwhile, officials reported that 55,497 e petty cases were settled during the National Lok Adalat. In addition, 31,559 Motor Vehicles Act cases were resolved. These figures show the emphasis on clearing routine cases that often clog the legal system. Therefore, the Lok Adalat provided an effective platform for amicable settlements across categories.
Cyber crime cases also formed an important part of the National Lok Adalat proceedings. A total of 3,763 cyber crime cases were settled during the event. In these cases, police played a key role in assisting victims. Officials said the police facilitated refunds amounting to Rs. 19.50 crore to cyber crime victims. This refund process offered direct financial relief and restored confidence among affected individuals.
Later, authorities noted that the Lok Adalat helped both complainants and respondents reach mutual agreements. The process allowed faster disposal of cases while saving time and legal costs. It also ensured that parties avoided lengthy trials and repeated court appearances. As a result, many long pending disputes saw closure in a single day.
The National Lok Adalat was held simultaneously across all districts of the State. Officials coordinated efforts between the judiciary, police, and administrative departments to ensure smooth conduct. The large number of settlements reflected public participation and trust in alternative dispute resolution mechanisms.
Overall, the National Lok Adalat once again proved effective in delivering timely justice. By settling over 1.05 lakh cases, it eased pressure on courts and offered practical solutions to thousands of citizens. Officials said such initiatives remain vital for strengthening access to justice and improving legal efficiency.
