GHMC Reorganization and Administrative Reshuffle in Engineering Dept.

Hyderabad: The Telangana government has initiated a comprehensive GHMC reorganization, along with a large scale administrative reshuffle across all civic departments to improve efficiency and governance.

As part of the GHMC reorganization, officials were allocated to the head office, 12 zones, and 60 circles. Moreover, officers serving long tenures at one location were transferred to ensure transparency and accountability. The move aims to streamline civic administration and strengthen service delivery across Hyderabad.

At the GHMC head office, seven Chief Engineers were appointed for oversight of the head office and 12 zones. S Bhaskar Reddy was posted as Chief Engineer for H City, Designs, and Administration.

Meanwhile, K Varalakshmi was assigned as SE FAS and Executive Engineer for the Designs Cell. Similarly, CH Sampada was posted as SE FAS and Executive Engineer for H City and Administration.

GHMC reorganization assigns engineers across 12 zones

Under the GHMC reorganization, six zones including Shamshabad, Rajendranagar, Charminar, Golconda, Khairatabad, and Secunderabad were placed under two Chief Engineers. Jyothirmayi was given charge as In charge Chief Engineer and SE for Housing and Administration. J Narsimha Rao was posted as SE for Quality Control, while BL Srinivas Rao was assigned as SE for H City and SNDP.

In addition, S Ratnakar was appointed In charge Chief Engineer and SE for Maintenance, Roads, Solid Waste Management, Transport, and Street Lights. B Gopal was posted as SE for Solid Waste Management, Transport, and Street Lights, with G Satish Reddy as Executive Engineer.

GHMC Reorganization and Administrative Reshuffle

For Cyberabad zones including Serilingampally, Kukatpally, and Quthbullapur, two Chief Engineers were appointed. G Srilakshmi was given charge of H City, SNDP, Quality Control, Housing, and Administration. P Chinna Reddy was posted as In charge SE for Housing, Quality Control, and Administration. PV Krishnarao was assigned charge of Maintenance, Solid Waste Management, Transport, and Street Lights, while K Shankar was posted as In charge SE for Maintenance.

Similarly, Malkajgiri, Uppal, and LB Nagar zones were placed under two Chief Engineers. SS Nityanandam was appointed In charge Chief Engineer and SE for Housing, Administration, and Quality Control. P Mohan Reddy was posted as In charge SE for H City and SNDP. V Ashok Reddy was given charge of Maintenance, Solid Waste Management, Transport, and Street Lights, with S Srinivas and K Ramesh Babu appointed as SEs.

Overall, the GHMC reorganization also included the appointment of 12 Superintending Engineers for 12 zones, 27 Executive Engineers for 27 circles, and 60 Deputy Executive Engineers and Assistant Engineers for 60 circles. Officials stated that the restructuring is expected to improve coordination, accelerate project execution, and enhance civic services citywide.
