According to the information available, officials informed the Union Home Ministry about the threat. The Home Ministry, headed by Amit Shah, received details of the threat email sent to Governor CV Anand Bose. Security agencies acted quickly, and officials increased protection around key locations linked to the Governor. However, authorities did not disclose further details about the source of the email.

Meanwhile, the threat email came in the backdrop of Enforcement Directorate raids carried out on Thursday. ED officials raided the office of I PAC, a political consultancy firm of the ruling TMC. The raids were linked to the coal smuggling case. During the operation, TMC workers stopped the ED officials, leading to high drama at the site.

Later, Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee immediately reached the location. According to the input, she took away a key file related to her party. She accused the BJP of trying to sabotage her political strategies. Following the obstruction, the Enforcement Directorate approached the court. The agency complained about interference in its official duties during the raid.

On the other hand, the threat email to the Governor drew strong political reactions. BJP leader Amit Malviya responded after the ED raids drama and the threat message. He expressed concern over the law and order situation in West Bengal. He stated that even the Governor is not safe in the state. He also alleged that Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee was trying to protect a private company facing allegations of coal smuggling and money laundering.

Amit Malviya further said that the Chief Minister was busy snatching criminal charge files. His remarks added to the political tension following the ED action and the threat to the Governor. Meanwhile, security around Raj Bhavan remains tight as authorities continue to monitor the situation closely.

The developments have brought national attention to the unfolding events in West Bengal. The combination of ED raids, political confrontation, and a threat email to the constitutional head of the state has raised serious concerns. Officials said further action would follow based on investigations into both the obstruction during raids and the threat message.
